EtherWAN, a leading brand of Ethernet-based connectivity solutions, has released 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switches with SFP Interfaces.  EtherWAN's EX65000 and EX35000 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switches support copper and fiber optic interfaces simultaneously.  To provide the flexibility of fiber optic options, EtherWAN upgraded the fiber ports to modular SFP interfaces.  This new feature provides fiber interface flexibility to match the application.  EtherWAN provides SFP modules that have been tested for compatibility with the switches and meet EtherWAN’s quality standards.

Like most of EtherWAN's managed Ethernet Switches, the EX65000 series also features EtherWAN's α-Ring technology.  α-Ring provides a high-speed network redundancy mechanism to recover from a network failure in less than 15 milliseconds during the self-healing process. The EX35000 series is an unmanaged switch with 8 Gigabit ports. Both are ideal candidates for bandwidth-eating applications that operate in harsh industrial environments.
